In Cesenatico, on Italy’s Adriatic coast, abandoned seaside colonies built during the Fascist era stand as remnants of a troubled past. In 2013, Nico Zamagni, Simone “Tribu” Tribuiani and a group of local creatives reclaim one of them, renaming it Bronx Ponente. It becomes a vibrant underground hub where artists, skaters and surfers gather from across Emilia-Romagna. Three years later, a mysterious fire destroys much of the building.
In 2020, the Hard Core Bronx Ponente skate collective carries its spirit into a nearby space, COLO Postoloso. Creativity flourishes again, until a police raid leads to its closure just two years later.
RAW DOGS follows a generation’s persistent struggle to turn forgotten buildings into spaces of freedom and self-expression, as each collective dream is forced to find a new home.
